Cancer Prevention Diet

Cancer is always regarded as the most frightening diseases. Perhaps because the main cause is still debated. The experts expressed, lifestyle, including diet, is one of the causes of cancer. So, what kind of diet that can help us dodging from cancer? Nutritionist in the American Institute for Cancer Research (AICR) Karen Collins, MS, RD, CDN, answering our questions about the anti-cancer food.

Are preservatives, nitrates, chemicals and other additives cause cancer?

You know, we often hear stories that connect the various additives, chemicals, and dyes with cancer risk. This could have happened. But basically, the evidence was not shown the truth of the relationship. In fact, some of the antioxidant preservative, which can keep us.

I think people are too much with these theories when they are better focused on ways to reduce their risk of cancer with weight loss, exercise, and healthy diet.

Why are fruits, vegetables, and plant foods seem to protect us from cancer?

Food bernabati possibilities offered protection in several ways. They provide thousands of phytochemicals, natural plant ingredients. Many antioxidants that can maintain and repair DNA. Some antioxidants appear to attack the cancer cells, controlling the growth and spread. Vitamins and minerals in vegetables, fruits, whole grains, and nuts also help to produce and repair DNA and control cell growth.

Some foods have a direct effect on some types of cancer. Like, plant foods contain fiber, which seems to reduce the risk of colon cancer. The indirect benefits of eating low-fat foods. Calories tend to be less, so we can add the food without getting a lot of calories.

Is organic food the best prevention against cancer?

Eating organic food is a good choice, but it's not necessary it is recommended to reduce the risk of cancer. You can find studies that show higher organic food nutrition and protection of phytochemicals, but others said no. Although those concerned with pesticide residues, not all plants contain non-organic pesticides. Less than 1% of content is in the amount above the tolerance level.

If you choose organic, it was good. However, organic fruit and vegetables a greater expense. So eat less fruits and vegetables that you can only buy organic, it's not a good idea. People should not put them at risk if they eat foods that are grown conventionally.

How does physical activity affect cancer risk?

Physical activity has a vital role in reducing cancer risk. Directly exercise can reduce insulin levels, inflammasi, and reproductive hormone levels. Indirectly, the move can help achieve and maintain ideal weight, as well as preventing obesity that occurs in adults when they get older.

American Institute for Cancer Research recommends physical activity is, at least 30 minutes a day. If you can afford, you need to reach 60 minutes per day or 30 minutes with more severe activity. This not only protects us from cancer, but also maintain weight.

Is meat or similar food contributed to the risk of cancer?

There are quite convincing relationship between red meat and colon cancer, and possibly other cancers as well. Not just fat, although choosing lean meat for nutrition, this is not enough to reduce the risk of cancer. However, you do not have to give up. Ate 1.8 kg of red meat per week is safe.

Eating meat that has been processed, such as marinated, injected, diasapkan, or plus preserved a greater risk of colon cancer. So, should be limited.

In addition you must be careful with the sodium. More than 2400 milligrams a day will increase the risk of stomach cancer. Alcohol also increases the risk of some cancers. Women should not drink more than one drink a day and men no more than two.

Improve Your Health With 10 Small Steps

Many of us make health-related resolutions, such as to lose weight, stop smoking or join the neighborhood health club. While it is common to set high goals, experts say that setting smaller goals could do more for our health.

"Small steps are achievable and are easier to fit into your daily routine," says James O. Hill, Ph.D., Director of the Center for Human Nutrition at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center. "They are less overwhelming than a big, sudden change."

Here are 10 to try:

1. Stop gaining weight. Even if you gain just a pound or two every year, the extra weight adds up quickly.

2. Take more small steps. Use a pedo meter to count your daily steps, then add 2,000, the equivalent of one extra mile. Keep adding steps, 1,000 to 2,000 each month or so, until you take 10.000 steps on most days.

3. Eat breakfast. Breakfast eaters tend to weigh less and have better diets overall. For a filling and nutrition-packed breakfast, Whole Grain Total ® top with fresh fruit slices and low-fat or fat-free milk.

4. Switch to three grain servings whole grain each day. If you're like the average American, you eat less than one whole grain serving a day.

5. Have at least one green salad every day. Eating a salad (with low-fat or fat-free dressing) is filling and may help you eat less during the meal. It also counts toward your five daily cups of vegetables and fruits.

6. Trim the fat. Fat has a lot of calories, and calories count. Purchase lean meats, eat poultry without the skin, switch to lower-fat cheeses, use a Nonstick pan with only a dab of oil or butter.

7. Consider calcium by including two or three daily servings of low-fat or fat-free milk or yogurt. Dairy calcium is good for bones and may also help you lose weight.

8. Downsize. The smaller the bag, bottle or bowl, the less you will eat.

9. Lose just 5 to 10 percent of your current weight. The health benefits are huge, lower blood pressure, blood sugar, cholesterol and triglycerides.

10. Keep track of your eating. Write down what you eat over the next couple of days and look for problem spots. Often, just writing things down can help you eat less.

Is Being a Vegetarian Can Malnutrition?

All the nutrients needed by the human body for healthy living is found in plant foods. About the fear that the essential amino acid (can not be made by the body so must be obtained from food) is found only in meat, is not true.
Methionine is very easy because there are filled in significant amounts in the rice and corn. Conversely essential amino acids lysin low levels in rice and corn, but high in soy.

So, the simple and simple, it can be described this way: if a vegetarian or vegan to eat rice or corn with tofu or tempeh, then the need for essential amino acids the body will be fulfilled easily. Especially in the Tempe protein was split into free amino acids are easily absorbed by the body. The increase in the amount of free amino acids in the range 4-5 k Tempe ali compared with soybeans, he said.

According to the Secretary-General also Susianto Asian Vegetarian Union (AVU) and the Coordinator of the Asia Pacific International Vegetarian Union (IVU) This hallain which was a big mistake not only among the laity but also health workers, is to say that people are vegetarians or vegans do not eat meat will be weak.
The word vegetarian, go Susianto, not from the English language is "vegetable" which means vegetables, from the Latin "vegetus" which means healthy, strong and the spirit (not that vegetables). So, a vegetarian or vegan is a healthy, strong and passionate (not limp).

Previously traditional food experts from the University of Gadjah Mada University, Murdijati Gardjito never gave the opinion that there are some essential amino acids found only in animals and humans is still needed. If the amino acids that can be made not from animals, he said, would be very good. Society needs a lot of information about it.

Murdijati, which was a lecturer at Gadjah Mada University Faculty of Agricultural Technology states that the public should have started a lot to reduce the consumption of meat, for health, environment, energy saving, and curb global warming.

Get More Energy with Drinking More Water

Water is the main nutrient that you give your body apart from oxygen. Water rejuvenates us and carries vital nutrients around the body where it is needed. Water picks up all debris, waste and debris that the cells throw in the lymph system and transport them from the body via the channels of elimination.

So if you drink more water, the double combination of feeding your body and clearing you of all the waste products that are built into your system.

Your brains need water, and much of it. Without water, your brains work worn and tired and slow. Water is the ultimate gift to give yourself to think with clarity. Besides water acts as a kind of healthy lubricant moistening tissues and joints.

If you drink, you want to avoid tap water. Tap water is more a dizzying mix of chemicals. It contains fluoride, chlorine, and many others. The amount of chemicals in the water would fill books - it is more like a chemical soup. The evidence that fluoride is poisonous is so overwhelming that it pushed to be banned in many countries by action groups.

The thirst mechanism to be disabled for an extended period is often mistaken for hunger. If you drink more water your thirst mechanism will return to its natural state. Not only will you begin to feel thirsty when you need water again, but your appetite will decrease.

This brings us to the next big thing you should understand about water. If I asked you the difference between the inorganic and organic minerals, chances are you could not tell me, right? Well let's briefly explain the difference. It is a simple difference. Organic minerals come from plants, inorganic minerals from rocks and volcanic sources. Organic minerals can be broken down by the body. Inorganic minerals are not used by the body and are stored until suitable water can come and perform. Organic minerals can be broken down by the body, but not inorganic. One is derived from natural plant life, one comes from rocks, filings and small pieces of grit. Which one makes more sense to use?

It is better to get your plant minerals through the food you eat rather than the inorganic form in water. Bottled water is often taken, tested and found to have bacteria and often is not rated much better than tap water.

Do you know the best water to use? The best water to use the same water you use in your iron. The purest water in the world is distilled water. It is as pure as rainwater should be if our atmosphere was not polluted.

If you have not heard that 70% of the world population is dehydrated - you will soon, if the UN push for a proper water supply to get people in the Third World.

The second best way of filtering is a type of filtering called "reverse osmosis". Unfortunately the standard bench top filter is not enough.

Most of the nasty contaminants in our water simply do not taste. Some people find it a case of sight out of mind. This is for what people think, but when it comes to your body, your children's lives, the health of the people you care about and the line between getting cancer and surviving it's far from acceptable.

The possibility of energy, vitality, a quality of life is known only to a select few who choose to raise their standards and take action to apply what they know. New discoveries are made all the time as new research comes from the United States, from Germany, and Australia and other countries. How does this apply to me you ask? Well, these contaminants can kill. Is this a reason to be angry? No, it is simply an action signal to act smarter.

The best bit is when you absolutely pure distilled water is so much easier to drink are drinking. It's so easy for your body with refreshing purity chemicals coils, shown by the lymphatic system and contribute to the expansion of overweight in the body tide. Distilled water is so easy to drink and be absorbed by your body to flush without the other nasties first report that many people who struggle to half a liter of water a day, are now 4 liter per day and above, drinking ease ! If you can not get distilled water, reverse osmosis or filtered water table is the next best option.

Many people in third world countries have no access to clean water. We in the developed countries currently have virtually unlimited access to clean water. My suggestion to you is to use!

Advantages of Fish Oil for Our Health

When the words oils and fats are mentioned, health-conscious people tend to run for cover. What they do not realize is that there are good fats and bad fats. Complete avoidance of intake of oils and fats would actually be detrimental - rather than beneficial - to their health.

The Truth About Fish Oil
Essential fatty acids must always be part of our daily diet - without them, we take one step closer to our deaths. Essential fatty acids are divided into two families: omega-6 fatty acids and omega-3 EFAS.

Although only very small differences in the two groups of essential fatty acids from each other, studies have shown that too much intake of omega-6 fatty acids can lead to inflammation, blood clotting and tumor growth. The good news is that the opposite is true for omega-3 fatty acids. Omega-6 fatty acids are found in vegetable oils, while omega-3 fatty acids found in fish oil may include food.

Omega-6 vs. Omega-3
Doctors and scientists are of the same opinion that the cause behind increasing cases of heart disease, hypertension or high blood pressure, obesity, diabetes, premature aging and certain types of cancer is none other than an imbalanced intake of omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids.

As previously mentioned, omega-6 fatty acids are found in vegetable oils. This includes, but is not limited to corn oil and soybean oil, both of which contain high amounts of linoleic acid. Omega-3 fatty acids on the other hand can also be found in the marine plankton and walnut and flaxseed oil. It is important to note that fatty fish and fish oils contain eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA), fatty acids that have been observed many benefits to the human body. In the early 1970s, a study on Greenland Eskimos showed that one of the main reasons why they rarely suffer from heart disease because of their high-fat diet (mainly composed of fish).

The two essential fatty acids, EPA and DHA, are also helpful in preventing atherosclerosis, heart attacks, depression and various forms of cancer. Fish oil supplemented food have also proven to be useful in treating diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis, diabetes, Raynaud's disease and ulcerative colitis.

Other benefits of fish oil
There are many more illnesses and situations where the intake of fish oil has proven significantly beneficial.

Making the Heart Healthier
The heart is inarguably one of the main components of our body and with an unhealthy heart means that the victim is a rather limited lifespan. Of course, it is in our interest to our hearts happy and healthy and one way to do that is eating food that contains fish oil account.

In Athens, Greece, for example, a study was made to show if a direct relationship between high fish diet and inflammation of blood vessels. The results showed that those who ate more fish than the others a lower level of C-reactive protein and interleukin-6, factors that often are used to the probability measure of a blood vessel inflammation. These benefits remained even when the various risks associated with a high fish diet into account.

Fish dun
In Perth, Australia, a study had revealed that consumption of fish can be used for high blood pressure and obesity. Researchers of the UWA (University of Western Australia) have discovered that a weight loss diet that a normal amount of fish consumption can be very effective in reducing blood pressure and improve glucose tolerance covers.

Fish oil against Asthma
People suffering from respiratory problems like asthma are usually seen as unfit and unhealthy. They should now be pleased to learn that certain studies, the benefits of fish oil for asthma-burdened-individuals showed. Statistics show that approximately 20 to 25% of children today a form of asthma or other disease at some point in their lives. And some evidence shows a regular diet of food with high linoleic acid content as the reason behind.

Researchers of UW (University of Wyoming) conducted a study by subjecting a number of children in a high-fish diet while others with their normal diet. Results showed that participants who ate more fish were less prone to asthma attacks and were able to breathe easier too.

Liquid Vitamin Advantages

Vitamins and minerals can be absorbed by the body in a number of ways. They first enter our body through the food we eat. Secondly, we can vitamin supplements to increase the amount of relevant vitamins and minerals. There are several methods of taking medication and one of the most common methods is absorbing in its liquid form. Do the benefits of liquid vitamins far outweigh its risks - if any? Read on and discover.

Better or Easier Absorption for Kids
Although liquid vitamins in taste worse than vitamins, chewable tablet forms can taste, but they are easier to absorb. There are many cases where children have problems with choking, breathing and swallowing simply because of their inability to take medication or vitamins in this form.

This is the same problem as well for adults who have lost their ability to control their jaws or are unable to digest anything that is not in liquid form.

Liquid Vitamins are effective
By its form, liquid vitamins can be assimilated directly into the bloodstream for a more systemic administration of the vitamin and the average absorption rate is approximately 90 to 98%. It is also three to five times more concentrated than vitamin pills and this lead to higher bio-activity and greater therapeutic benefits.

The relationship between Antioxidants and Liquid Vitamins
Have you ever wondered whether liquid vitamins contained oxidants as well? Vitamins E, C and A are examples of antioxidants and are found in vitamin supplements but what about liquid vitamins?

And the answer is absolutely YES. Liquid vitamins must in fact contain such antioxidants or they will prove to be ineffective compared to other vitamins. Remember that the most important of all antioxidants - Vitamins A, C and E - are not internally produced by the body, so they need a regular league program in our diet. Antioxidants are our main defense against the damaging effects of oxidation reactions. Antioxidants are our best weapons against suffering from a form of cancer. Without that, we are basically weaker and less healthy.

Liquid Vitamins versus Digestive Acids
One of the reasons why people refuse to recognize the benefits of liquid vitamins is because of the supposed destruction by digestive acids of any vitamin or mineral that is not recognized as part of the process of digestion. The opposite is actually true. Our digestive system actually prefers or is able to better absorb liquid vitamins and minerals than those in pill or capsule form.

A vitamin pill or tablet should be fully digested before the human body can benefit. It must be broken down into absorbable nutrients or only up to thirty percent of it will be absorbed by the human body. Liquid vitamins but a better and simpler solution for the digestive system. Because it does not depend in any way on mechanical digestion, an estimated 90% of it can be directly absorbed by the body.

It is vital to remember that digestion does not work primarily with vitamins and minerals, but to destroy into substances it can use for the general education of the body to improve.

Liquid Vitamins: Toxic or not?
Another problem is made the amount of colloidal minerals found in liquid vitamins. Are they harmful or not?

In truth, even plants and fruits contain a trace of such minerals in them. Apples, for instance, contain 3-5 mg of aluminum as it is one of the most common elements that can be found in the surface of the Earth. But you hear anyone telling you that apples are dangerous to your health? On the contrary, what we often hear is that an apple a day keeps the doctor away.

Fact about Carbohidrat

Normally carbohydrates are found in all foods except meat products. Recently, some diets have recommended stripping out all carbohydrates from what you eat. Many companies have bought into this and among other things, have introduced low-carb breads. Limiting bad carbohydrates such as sugar from your diet is a positive step but going further and refusing to eat fruits and whole grains can potentially deprive you of cancer fighting foods.

Carbohydrates can be broken down into two main categories; simple and complex. Sodas, candy and even fruits contain simple sugars while whole grains, fruits and cereals contain complex carbs. The main difference between the two groups are their chemical structures. Simple sugars are made up of a few sugar molecules while complex carbs are made up of hundreds and even thousands of these molecules put together. In you body, the end product of both is glucose.

Another difference between the two is the time needed to digest. If you consume 100 calories of simple sugars, your body can digest it a lot faster than if you eat the same amount of calories that are made of complex carbs. This is because simple sugars are closer to the end product than complex carbs which need more time to digest. Therefore if you take the meal of simple sugars, you will be hungrier sooner than if you ate the meal made of complex carbs. Making a habit of drinking soda and eating candy can add up to a lot of calories at the end of the day.

Studies have shown that simple sugars contribute to obesity and diabetes, especially in children. It has also been shown that eating the good carbs can shield you from many types of cancers. So next time you pick up the magazine about the newest low carb claim, throw it away and grab an apple.

Since the body is prone to different health problems, a factor which can provoke them is the volume and intensity of training. Long distance running and jogging are extremely popular forms of training.A frequent health problem in tennis is epycondylitis or 'the tennis player's elbow'. Weightlifting can lead to varicous veins or high blood pressure.

Fitness tries to make every exercise useful for health and body esthetics.

The type of training that is recommended is the complex one, including aerobic and anaerobic exercises.

While doing aerobic exercises, the body satisfies its need of oxygen during effort. We are talking here about all types of resistance efforts, like long distance running, ski, rowing, fast walking, swimming, cycling, speed skating, etc. The consequences of these efforts are visible, first of all, at a cardiovascular and pulmonary level. This type of exercises are the most effective in burning calories and this is why they can easily burn fat tissue, as long as they last more than 40-45 minutes without stopping. The energetic support of these efforts comes from the fat acids which are mobilized from the adipose tissue.

The efforts of anaerobic type are responsible for increasing force and muscular mass and for bone resistance. During this type of short and intensive effort the body cannot satisfy the need of oxygen. What happens is the so-called 'oxygen duty', recovered in the breaks between the efforts. The most typical example is the break between two series of exercises meant to work the same muscle.

The effectiveness of fitness trainings is closely related to their weekly practice. There are a minimum number of trainings necessary for visible effects.

For the programs of anaerobic type (force) the experts say that two trainings a week are necessary, each of 30-45 minutes. During these sessions, the whole body is trained every time.

In the case of aerobic training (resistance), their weekly frequency must be increased to three, each between 20 and 60 minutes.

Both types of training must be continued uninterruptedly for at least two or three months. After this period, a one-week active break is recommended. In this time the person must make lighter efforts like walking and gymnastics, the purpose being now recovery and relaxation.

Starting from this minimum frequency, any supplementary training will make progress come sooner, as long as you avoid over-training or over-exerting. Deciding the optimum number of trainings, their volume and intensity depends a lot on the particularities and the possibilities of the person who practices the sport.

Benefits of using coconut oil

It is a common misconception that coconut oil is bad for you. People all over the world are experiencing the healthy benefits of using coconut oil. It is actually one of the healthiest oils you can consume. Here are the top seven reasons why you should use coconut oil as an alternative to other common cooking oils.

1. Coconut oil doesn't turn to fat in your body.

Unlike many other common oils, like soy (vegetable) and corn, coconut oil won't make you fat. Coconut oil contains medium-chain triglycerides (MCT), which are an easy fuel for the body to burn, without turning to fat. Most other cooking oils and fats contain long-chain triglycerides (LCT). LCT's are usually stored as fat. Since coconut oil is a MCT, it is more easily absorbed and converted to energy quicker.

People in the tropics have relied on coconuts as a traditional staple in their diet for centuries. They consume large amounts of coconut oil every day. Instead of getting fatter, it helps them stay healthy, lean and trim.

When they switch from coconut oil to our modern oils, they develop obesity and the health problems that our modern society faces.

Some other people who have known this truth for a long time are people who are in the animal feed business. When livestock are fed vegetable oils, they put on weight and produce more fatty meat. When they are fed coconut oil, they become very lean.

2. Coconut oil increases your metabolism.

Not only does coconut oil convert to energy quicker in your body, it increases your metabolism, which promotes weight loss. Because it boosts your metabolism, it helps your body burn fat more effectively.

Coconut oil may triple your calorie burn. Since coconut oil is a MCT, it is converted to energy so quickly that it creates a lot of heat. In a study published in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition, MCT's burn three times more calories for six hours after a meal than LCT's.

The February 15, 2005 issue of Woman's World magazine stated that coconut oil is the "underground high-metabolism secret."

This is great news for people who have thyroid problems, since coconut oil improves sluggish thyroids by stimulating the production of extra thyroid hormones. Most other common oils, like vegetable (soy) and corn have been shown to inhibit thyroid function.

3. Coconut oil has omega 3 fatty acids.

Most cooking oils contain omega 6 fatty acids, something we get way too much of in the United States. Our omega 6 to omega 3 ratio should be 1:1 but it is more like 50:1. We need to drastically cut back our omega 6 oils and consume much more omega 3 oils to be healthy. And coconut oil is filled with these healthy omega 3 fatty acids.

4. Coconut oil gives you energy.

Because of the healthy omega 3 fatty acids and the fact that it increases the metabolism, most people that switch to coconut oil feel a burst of added energy in their daily life.

This is because coconut oil is nature’s richest source of medium-chain triglycerides (MCT's), which increase metabolic rates and lead to weight loss. MCT's promote thermogenesis, which increases the body's metabolism, producing energy.

This is because coconut oil is nature’s richest source of medium-chain triglycerides (MCT's), which increase metabolic rates and lead to weight loss. MCT's promote thermogenesis, which increases the body's metabolism, producing energy. Many people with chronic fatigue syndrome and fibromyalgia have found that adding coconut and coconut oil to their diet was helpful to them.

5. One of the best things you can use on your skin and hair is coconut oil.

Coconut oil one of the best things you can apply directly on your skin and hair. It gives temporary relief to skin problems like rashes. It aids in healing and restoring skin to a younger appearance. It has also been known to help with people who suffer from yeast infections in the skin, as well as many other skin problems.

Not only does is soften and smooth your skin, coconut oil has antioxidant properties that protect the skin from free radical damage. Coconut oil makes excellent massage oil too.

6. Coconut oil has healthy benefits that most other oils do not.

Evidence is mounting that coconut oil has anti-fungal, anti-bacterial and anti-viral effects when both consumed and used topically on the skin.

Most oils oxidize and turn rancid very quickly causing free radical damage in our bodies. Coconut oil is not easily oxidized and does not cause harmful free radical damage like polyunsaturated vegetable oils. Free radical damage is thought to be responsible for many ailments in our body from arthritis to increased susceptibility to cancers.

Coconut oil also helps our bodies absorb other nutrients more effectively, such as Vitamin E.

7. Coconut oil is one of the best oils you can use for cooking.

It has a higher smoke point than olive oil, which means it can take higher temperatures better. There are several healthy omega 3 oils we can choose to consume, such as flax and olive oil, but they don't do well under the high heat we use for cooking. Coconut oil can be used in higher cooking temperatures.

It is harder for coconut oil to go rancid, unlike other cooking oils, which are usually rancid long before you even bring them home. Rancid oils cause free radical damage in the body, which is a leading cause of cancer. Coconut oil is stable for over a year at room temperature.

Because of the misinformation we have been given for years, we have lost out on the healthy benefits that coconut oil has given the people of the tropics for centuries. But now it has been rediscovered! Coconut oil is so effective, it won't be long before we see coconut oil supplements promoted, but you can get the jump on the popular crowd and start consuming and cooking with coconut oil today!

Seven reasons are given to grow our own organic vegetable garden

During the last decades there has been a change towards mechanization and homogenization of farming, which uses pesticides, additives, herbicides, synthetic fertilizers and mass-production techniques. All this is clearly affecting mankind's health, and new diseases are spreading rapidly amongst humans and animals (bird's flu being the most recent one).

The World Health Organization produces reports to show how the use of chemicals and other products on food, coupled with the manufacturing processes involved, are actually a threat for our health.

If you have space for a few pots or even a small piece of land, it is a wise decision to grow your own organic vegetable garden. Today I'm presenting you with seven reasons for doing this:

1. You will have no additives in your vegetables. Research by organic food associations has shown that additives in our food can cause heart diseases, osteoporosis, migraines and hyperactivity.

2. There will be no pesticides or synthetic fertilizers used. These chemical products are applied to obtain crops all the time regardless plagues or weather conditions, and affect the quality of the vegetables. Besides, pesticides are usually poisonous to humans.

3. Your vegetables will not be genetically modified (GM). Antibiotics, drugs and hormones are used on vegetables to grow more and larger ones. One of the consequences of this practice are vegetables which look all the same and are usually tasteless. Besides, we end up consuming the hormones that have been used on the vegetables, with the potential risks for our health.

4. Eating your own organic vegetables will be much more healthy for you. They will not contain any of the products or chemicals named above, and they will be much more natural than any ones you would find at the supermarket. Your health will not be at risk because you will then know that nothing has been added to your vegetables.

5. Your own organic vegetables will be much more tasty. The use of pesticides, synthetic fertilizers, hormones and antibiotics make vegetables grow unnaturally and take the taste away from them. With organic vegetables, your cooking will be enhanced as their flavour will show fully.

6. Organic farming is friendly to the environment. Because you won't use pesticides or other equally harming products on your vegetables, you will not damage the soil or the air with the chemical components.

7. When you grow your own organic vegetables you are contributing to your own self-sustainability and the sustainability of the planet. Small communities have been founded where members exchange products that they grow naturally, thus contributing to create a friendly and better place for us all.

In the end, eating organic products only means that we do not add anything else to them than they would naturally have. As you can guess, additives, fertilizers, pesticides or hormones are not components of naturally grown food. To better care for your health, grown your own organic vegetables -and a few pots is all you need.

Suitable Exercise for Diabetes People

The two most common forms of diabetes are referred to as type 1 and type 2. Type 1 diabetes, also known as adolescent diabetes, differs from Type 2 in which the body stops producing insulin altogether. Type 2 diabetes is usually diagnosed in older adults and occurs when the body has enough insulin or the individual will stop producing their own insulin resistant.

With both types of diabetes, we lose our ability to adequately untilize sugar. Blood sugar levels increase due to difficulties in transporting the body of sugar in the cells and the bloodstream. There are several ways to lower blood sugar levels including exercise, diet and medication.

Exercise is a very important part of diabetic management for both type 1 and type 2 diabetics. For type 1 diabetes, regular exercise helps to maintain insulin sensitivity, helps prevent accumulation of excess weight, and increases the use of glucose by muscle, which lower blood sugar. Although there is currently no way to prevent type 1 diabetes, it may be possible to prevent type 2 diabetes.

What to consider when attempting to the development of type 2 diabetes are regular exercise, herbal supplements and vitamins that help prevent insulin resistance prevention, and proper weight.

Exercise not only helps directly in diabetic management by lowering blood glucose and the maintenance of insulin sensitivity, but also helps minimize many of the complications that can occur in a diabetic person. Studies have shown that walking for 30 minutes a day can significantly the possibility of developing type 2 diabetes to reduce.
Diabetics tend to develop circulatory problems and exercise can certainly help lower blood pressure and improve circulation throughout the body. Because people with diabetes often have poor circulation to their legs and feet, better circulation is of great advantage.

There are some risks associated with the exercise, but the potential benefits outweigh the high risks. Since exercise does lower blood sugar levels, people with diabetes to measure their blood sugar both before and after training. Because your body needs more sugar during exercise and makes you more sensitive to insulin, there is a risk of blood sugar becoming too low and cause hypoglycemia.

When exercising it is important to let others know that you have diabetes. They should be informed about what to do in case of hypoglycaemia. You should always candy or juice to treat low blood sugar should they occur. During and after the exercise sessions, you should pay attention to how you feel as fast heartbeat, increased sweating, feeling shaky, or hunger can signal that your blood sugar levels are still too low.

Exercise is a crucial part of diabetic management and treatment. Exercise helps control blood sugar when the muscles use more glucose and the body more sensitive to insulin. Exercise also helps to prevent and minimize common diabetic complications, including heart problems, high blood pressure and circulatory deficiencies. All diabetics need regular exercise program as part of their overall management plan.

Dry Skin Treatment and Prevention

Dry skin or xerosis, is a skin type usually marked by a solid structure and dry skin. This type is especially noticeable in winter, when one turns to indoor heaters due to the cold weather and dry air or low humidity. Signs of dry skin usually appear as pink spots on the face, arms and legs. These small spots can become sore spots later flake and become itchy if left untreated. The tibia and the abdomen, especially the sides, are often dry places. Eczema and other forms of dermatitis can also occur without proper treatment. The condition can also be genetically inherited. The normal skin changes with aging, the elderly tend to have dry skin problems.

1. Regularly wet

The irritation and dryness can be alleviated by using a moisturizing cleanser and the frequent use of oil-based lotions or creams, especially for the affected person sleeps. Experts also suggest fewer and shorter baths and showers of about 5-10 minutes to maintain skin hydration. Lukewarm water is also considered better than hot water baths and showers. Mild soaps are also preferred for the face, along with moisturizing lotion for the whole body after a bath and before bedtime. Rehydration will also benefit from a high level of water and fruit consumption.

2. Skin disorders

Scaling or flaking skin can be syptomatic of dermatitis. Seborrheic Dermatitis is a type, characterized by red, itchy rash on various body parts, especially areas with many oil glands. The scaly rash can be found on the nose, scalp and eyebrows. Another type is allergic contact dermatitis, which results from an immune reaction in the contact between the skin and Poison Ivy or similar substances. Some people also experience eczema or atopic dermatitis, where it is customary in the family, or athlete's foot, a fungal infection soles of the feet.

3. Cleanse Your Skin

An important factor in skin care is knowing one's skin type, as this approach will define and use a product. Individuals will have either dry, normal / combination, sensitive or oily skin. A skincare routine will always include cleansing. Since skin types vary between individuals, the people looking for a cleanser that their skin reacts to. Most experts discourage the use of soap to cleanse the face, with some specifying soap only to clean the neck to the feet. Cleansers are made of water, oil and surfactants together facial oil and dirt, make-up removing dissolve and wash away all the excesses of the face. Care should be just the right mix to be used to prevent clogging skin pores or drying the skin.

4. Peeling, peeling, peeling

Many experts recommend the routine at night, with only lukewarm water used to wash the face in the morning. However, the use of a moisturizer before bed will also make necessary treatment in the morning. People are advised to use warm water to start washing, as this would unclog pores and loose dirt. After a detergent is used, rinse with cold water will tighten or close the pores. Exfoliating is one step many specialists advise to treat or prevent dry skin. Stanford University clinical assistant professor Katie Rodan advises that individuals peeling on a daily basis. This will increase the replenishment of the skin - removing dead skin cells to give way to new cells - and improve moisture retention, making a fresher and younger looking skin. People with dry or sensitive skin to exfoliate more than twice a week, and increase the frequency in the summer and warm months, when sweat makes dead skin cells stick together and delays their removal. For those with sun damaged skin, can be used as hydroxies deep exfoliant. Toners are not required, such as the removal of dirt, makeup and oil can all be done using a detergent.

Some experts advise separate moisturizers for the night and daytime, when the ideal product to provide UV protection. Sunscreen should not be used with moisturizers at night, because it could aggravate dry skin conditions. A good sunscreen should zinc oxide, titanium dioxide or avobenzene as an active ingredient. Besides dry skin prevention, the following tips can be determined by individuals at home to address the condition:

- Application of Vaseline and wear cotton gloves to sleep works well for people with extremely dry hands

The Dangerous of To much Eating Protein

Protein is an essential nutrient and is vital for your health. It is used to build muscles, skin, hair and nails. But many people put their health at risk by eating too much protein.

The typical American diet contains much protein and there is no point in adding more, unlike fat cells, there is no place in the body to store protein so the excess is eliminated or is seen as fat rather than muscles.

So what you should do is to consume just enough protein for your muscles to allow healthy, perform work and grow. But just how much is enough?
You can only use protein for about 15% of your energy, the majority of energy comes from fats and carbohydrates. Exercise does not necessarily mean that you get more protein but more carbohydrates to your body to stop breaking the protein and use it for energy.
Try to ensure that 70% of your protein from sources such as meat, fish, eggs or poultry. The complete protein provided by these foods combines with incomplete protein consumed from other food sources. So your body makes the best of all the protein you consume.

If you consume too much protein, you are probably too many calories over your maintenance levels and this will show as an increase in body fat levels. And with the advent of the new trend high protein diets, not enough carbohydrates are being consumed so the protein is converted to glucose and not converted into muscle growth.
What is needed for muscle growth is not more protein but high intensity training with the required amount of time for rest and recovery between sessions. Since that great bodybuilding star you saw in the latest magazine requires 300 grams of protein a day does not mean you should. What he will not tell you is that steroids is behind his muscle growth and not his diet.

High intensity strength training and not food stimulates muscle growth.
Consuming large amounts of protein is not only bad for your liver and kidneys but also promotes vitamin and mineral deficiencies. It is also linked to osteoporosis and some cancers.

One way the need to eat large amounts of protein to overcome the consumption of proteins in stages increasing to a maximum efficiency is reached and then drastically reduced. This forces the body to over-compensate by increasing the efficiency of absorption of proteins in the body.

An example of a Protein Loading diet is found below.

Week One

Breakfast: poached egg on toast, cereal with fruit and milk.

Snack: fruit and protein shake.

Lunch: Chicken, potatoes and vegetables. Fresh fruit salad.

Snack: nuts, fruit and biscuits with cheese.

Week Two

Breakfast: Two poached eggs on toast, cereal with fruit salad and milk.

Snack: nuts, fruit, protein shake.

Lunch: Chicken with potatoes and vegetables (any style)

Snack: nuts, fruit, biscuits with cheese.

Dinner: Roast beef with vegetables, brown rice, whole wheat bread.

Week Three

Breakfast: Three eggs any style on toast, cereal with fruit and milk.

Snack: nuts, fruit and protein shake.

Lunch: Turkey with potatoes and vegetables, brown rice, whole wheat bread.

After week four of this protein loading diet, move from the Max to the lowest intake of protein. So in the fifth week back to week one menu, in the sixth week, week two menu and so on.

This protein loading diet provides a balance of proteins, fats and carbohydrates and combined with a high intensity strength training will be very effective in increasing muscular body weight without the need to occupy large amounts of proteins

Chlorophyll a Unique Role in Kiwi Fruit

Generally the fruit changes color from green (when young) to yellow, orange, or red (when ripe). Only a few types of fruits that remain green when ripe. One of them is the kiwi.

The green color is caused by the pigment chlorophyll levels remained unchanged in the process pematangannya. Foodstuffs generally contain more chlorophyll is a good source of magnesium.

Many research results have shown that chlorophyll antimutagenik properties (preventing the spread of cancer-causing genes).

This occurs because the nature of chlorophyll binding reaction can inhibit carcinogens with DNA compounds, and compounds to counteract the radical reaction. Chlorophyll can also protect the immune system through the ability to reduce reactivity of radical compounds.

One study showed that klorofilin, the substance chlorophyll derivatives, capable of binding Aflatoxin B1 can inhibit the occurrence of liver cancer. Benitez research results and Wens (1996) showed that very effectively lower klorofilin superoxide anion (free radical species), whose capacity is higher than the beta-carotene or vitamin C.

Kiwi also contains inositol, which plays an important role in intracellular responses to hormones and neurotransmitters. Some research indicates that inositol supplementation helps lung function in premature infants and adults who experience depression. Kiwi also contains serotonin, a substance that is calm effect.

Eating for Energy

If you often feel tired and do not disappear with rest or sleep, you may experience chronic fatigue syndrome. This condition can be caused by physical illness, such as anemia, diabetes or thyroid imbalance.

Other causes of this fatigue syndrome are depression, stress, sleep disturbances, lack of exercise, too much exercise (overtraining), dehydration, eating disorders, and bacterial infections.

If you did not find any disease, syndrome, tired easily these can be overcome through lifestyle changes, such as exercising regularly, reducing stress, getting enough sleep, reducing caffeine, and changing eating patterns.

Dietary changes recommended are:
- Increase energy reserves
To supply the energy needed by the body, consumption of calories according to activity level. If you include a workaholic man, you need a minimum of 2200 kilo calories per day, whereas women 2000 kcal.

- Fluctuations in insulin levels can also cause changes in mood and fatigue. To overcome this problem, try changing your diet from three times a day become five times, but in small portions. Choose carbohydrates with low glycemic index, such as brown rice or cereal.

- If you are a sports fan with a high intensity, make sure your protein needs enough. The average protein requirement for women is 120-150 grams. While men need 180-250. However, high protein foods are also high in fat. Therefore. You can replace milk with meat or fish and reduce the use of fat during the cooking process.

- Drinking enough water every day, or about 10 cups.

- Consumption of five types of fresh fruit every day.

- Avoid foods rich in sugar because these foods will exacerbate the sense of fatigue.

- In general, food or drink energy booster supplements containing vitamin B complex. You can meet this vitamin from a variety of foods, like bread, grains, liver, meat, eggs, milk, and beans.

Reducing the Negative Impact of Cooking Oil

In our culture, fried foods, including favorite foods. It was a tasty, crunchy, plus low price makes many popular fried. However, eating fried food can be harmful to health.

Fried food fried in oil containing saturated fatty acids would be metabolized when consumed, will eventually increase in blood lipid profile. The higher the intake of saturated fat, higher cholesterol. This will eventually lead to degenerative diseases, such as coronary heart disease or stroke.

To prevent these undesirable due to consumption of fried foods, Prof.Dr.Ir.Made Astawan, food technologists, Bogor Agricultural University, share tricks.

1. When you choose to buy cooking oil in accordance with the needs, how to read labels and packaging, with good care. Select which include cooking oil complete information on the label.

2. For high cholesterol, choose oils that contains unsaturated fatty acids (such as peanut oil and corn oil).

3. Do not choose cooking oil just by color and appearance. A clear oil is not necessarily better than the yellow oil concentrated. Color is influenced by the content of carotenoids and other components in the oil. In some cases the very beneficial carotenoids to health.

4. As far as possible fried food gangsa system (less oil) to prevent excessive oil absorption in fried foods, and repeated use of oil.

5. Cooking oil so that is not easily damaged, should not use too high heat. Control the size of the flame.

6. Save the cooking oil in a sealed container, cool, and avoid sunlight to prevent oxidation and rancidity was not easy.

7. Clean the frying pan or wok with a detergent that is free from the crust or other dirt.

8. Do not get used to using used oil that has been used repeatedly to fry.

9. Drain the oil in fried food before eating. If necessary use a tissue or paper to reduce the oil layer on the surface of the food.

Apples, For Healthy Colon

In addition to genetic disorders, food consumed affects the incidence of colorectal cancer (colon). One of the foods that are proven to be able to prevent this cancer is an apple.

Recent research shows, an apple or apple juice have a positive impact on the large intestine. Content of pectin and polyphenols found in apples much, are known to increase biological mechanism to produce compounds antikarsinogenik (anti-cancer) in the fermentation process.

"Apple is a source of fiber and antioxidants are good. Apples are also rich in pectin are effective as an anticancer substance in the large intestine," said the researchers.

In a laboratory study conducted by German researchers, Dr. Dieter Schrenk, known components in apples can increase butyrate production, to prevent the formation of HDAC (Histone deacetlyases). HDAC declining production will push the growth of pre-cancerous cells and tumor cells.

Colon cancer is a cancer that is often encountered in Indonesia. Cancer is not just about the men but also women. Colon cancer risk increases in consumption of high fat and low in fiber, body fat, smoking, and lack of exercise.

Chicken claw and Eggs, High Blood Discounter

Journals Japan Society for Bioscience Tsukuba recently revealed findings that have chicken claw efficacy for reducing high blood pressure.

Substance content of collagen (collagen, chicken extract) is equivalent to a chicken claw with antihypertensive activity of ACE-inhibitor group. This claw collagen can reduce levels of plasma rennin, so do not bring blood pressure becomes higher.

So high blood approach to diet again now enriched by the presence of a chicken claw. Before this is known to play a role controlling blood pressure is a mineral potassium. It is in their high blood pressure, intake of fruit should be sufficient. Not just one or two times a day, but four servings of fruits and vegetables.

In addition to the chicken claw, quoted from the Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry, revealed no findings of experts from the University of Alberta, Canada, chicken eggs affairs role for high blood pressure sufferers. Cooked egg was potentially equivalent to the antihypertensive ACE-inhibitors, such as a chicken claw.

Depending on how the eggs are presented, determine the level of benefits. Fried eggs higher potential than boiled antihipertensinya. Mixture of white and yolk is more potent than just the egg white or yellow only.

Therefore, excessive fear of eggs should be abolished. Limiting does not mean it's not. Eggs are a source of amino acids (essential amino acid) the most complete.

If you do not eat eggs at all, would the body needs eight kinds of essential amino acids are not met. The body can not produce amino acids. Lack of one or more amino acids led to a number of complaints and diseases. Consumption of eggs two or three times a week rather than prohibition.

Other findings mentioned, consuming nuts also help to suppress high blood pressure (Journal of Clinical Nutrition) for nuts contain unsaturated fats are healthful, but the mineral magnesium (Mg) and potassium (K) is high, as well as fiber, vitamins, and antioxidants.

So conclusion, controlling high blood pressure may be enough with DASH (dietary approach to stop hypertension) diet style, but using chicken eggs, claw, and nuts. In fact the true ancestor of the menu always choose a similar DASH diet, claw, eggs, and nuts.

In Japan, the tradition remains a healthy meal that is still perpetuated by the fishermen in Okinawa.
